Terms of Service

Welcome to NotionReminder. These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of the NotionReminder website (notionreminder.com) and services. Please read these Terms carefully before using our service.

By accessing or using the service, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you disagree with any part of the terms, you may not access the service. These terms are governed by the laws of Mexico.

1. Description of Service

NotionReminder provides an asynchronous polling engine that integrates with your Notion account to monitor date properties and send automated alerts via Email or Slack.

2. Account Registration and Security

  • You must be at least 13 years old to use this service.
  • You must provide accurate and complete information when registering an account.
  • You are responsible for safeguarding the credentials you use to access the service and for any activities or actions under your account.
  • You must notify us immediately upon becoming aware of any breach of security or unauthorized use of your account.

3. Acceptable Use

You agree not to misuse the NotionReminder service. Specifically, you must not:

  • Attempt to bypass, exploit, or disrupt our rate limiting, security measures (including Arcjet), or polling infrastructure.
  • Use the service to send unsolicited promotional material, spam, or abusive messages via our dispatch integrations (Email or Slack).
  • Interfere with or disrupt the integrity or performance of the service or third-party data.

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account immediately, without prior notice or liability, for any reason whatsoever, including without limitation if you breach these Terms.

4. Subscriptions, Billing, and Refunds

NotionReminder is a subscription-based service. Billing, payments, and subscription management are handled securely through our third-party provider, Polar.

  • Billing: You will be billed in advance on a recurring and periodic basis (e.g., monthly or annually), depending on the type of subscription plan you select.
  • Refunds: All refund requests, subscription pauses, and cancellations are subject to Polar’s terms and the specific policies applied to your subscription tier at the time of checkout. Unless legally required, past charges are non-refundable.

5. Third-Party Integrations

Our service integrates extensively with third-party platforms, primarily Notion, Slack, and Resend. Your use of these third-party platforms is governed by their respective Terms of Service and Privacy Policies.

You grant us permission to read your selected Notion data strictly to provide the alerting functionality. We are not responsible for the availability, accuracy, or performance of these third-party APIs.

6. Absolute Limitation of Liability

Please read this section carefully, as it limits our liability to you.

NotionReminder is provided on an “AS IS” and “AS AVAILABLE” basis. We make no warranties, expressed or implied, regarding the reliability or timeliness of the alerts.

Because our service relies entirely on the availability of third-party APIs (Notion, Slack, Resend, etc.) and background processing networks, NotionReminder is strictly not responsible for missed deadlines, unsent alerts, or delayed notifications in any case whatsoever.

This includes, but is not limited to, failures caused by:

  • Notion API downtime or rate-limiting (HTTP 429 errors).
  • Polling engine delays.
  • Email delivery failures or spam filtering.
  • Misconfiguration of rules or Notion database permissions.

In no event shall NotionReminder, nor its directors, employees, partners, agents, suppliers, or affiliates, be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including without limitation, loss of profits, data, use, goodwill, or other intangible losses, resulting from your use or inability to use the service.

7. Termination

You may terminate your account at any time by deleting it from within your account settings. Upon deletion, your personal data, rules, and alert history will be immediately deleted from our active databases.

We may terminate or suspend your account and bar access to the service immediately, without prior notice or liability, under our sole discretion, for any reason whatsoever, including but not limited to a breach of the Terms.

8. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed and construed in accordance with the laws of Mexico, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.

Our failure to enforce any right or provision of these Terms will not be considered a waiver of those rights. If any provision of these Terms is held to be invalid or unenforceable by a court, the remaining provisions of these Terms will remain in effect.

9. Changes

We reserve the right, at our sole discretion, to modify or replace these Terms at any time. We will provide notice of any significant changes. By continuing to access or use our service after those revisions become effective, you agree to be bound by the revised terms.
