Last Updated: April 30, 2026
Welcome to NotionReminder (“we,” “our,” or “us”). We are committed to protecting your privacy and ensuring your data is handled securely. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you visit our website (notionreminder.com) and use our service.
By using NotionReminder, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy.
1. Information We Collect
A. Personal Information
When you register for an account using Google or Notion authentication, we collect:
- Your name.
- Your email address.
- Your profile avatar/image.
B. Notion Data
To provide the core functionality of NotionReminder, we require access to your Notion account. We adhere to the principle of least privilege:
- What we request: We explicitly use Notion’s “Page Picker” interface. You choose exactly which databases we can access. We do not request or have access to your entire Notion workspace.
- What we read: We only possess “Read-only” capabilities. We read database schemas (column names) and the specific date properties you configure us to monitor.
- What we store: We store Notion Page IDs, date properties, user-defined alert thresholds, and your custom message templates in our database to facilitate the alerting engine. We also maintain an internal ledger mapping Notion Page IDs to triggered rules to prevent duplicate alerts.
C. Usage and Device Data
When you access our service, we may collect certain information automatically, including:
- Browser type and version.
- IP address.
- Pages visited and the time/date of your visit.
- Device identifiers.
2. How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect to:
- Provide, operate, and maintain our service.
- Poll your connected Notion databases to trigger and dispatch alerts.
- Send transactional emails or Slack messages based on your configured rules.
- Process payments and manage subscription tiers.
- Send administrative updates, security alerts, and support messages.
- Monitor and analyze usage trends to improve the platform.
3. How We Share Your Information
We do not sell your personal data. We only share your information with trusted third-party sub-processors strictly necessary to operate the service. These include:
- Neon: For secure, serverless database hosting.
- Vercel: For application hosting and blob storage.
- Resend: To deliver transactional and alert emails.
- Slack: To deliver messages to your connected workspaces.
- Polar: To process payments and manage your subscription state securely. We do not store your full credit card details.
- Sentry: For error monitoring and crash reporting to improve application stability.
- Arcjet: For application security, rate limiting, and bot protection.
- Analytics Providers: We may use third-party analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics, PostHog) to track and analyze site usage.
We may also disclose your information if required to do so by law or in response to valid requests by public authorities.
4. Data Retention and Deletion
We retain your personal information and Notion rule configurations only for as long as is necessary for the purposes set out in this Privacy Policy.
Immediate Deletion: If you choose to delete your account, your personal data, alert rules, and all associated alert history (the Alert_Ledger) are immediately deleted from our active databases.
5. Security of Your Data
The security of your data is important to us. We implement industry-standard security measures, including encrypting your Notion access tokens at rest. However, please remember that no method of transmission over the Internet or method of electronic storage is 100% secure. While we strive to use commercially acceptable means to protect your data, we cannot guarantee its absolute security.
6. Children’s Privacy
Our service is strictly intended for individuals who are 13 years of age or older. We do not knowingly collect personally identifiable information from anyone under the age of 13. If you are a parent or guardian and you are aware that your child has provided us with personal data, please contact us. If we become aware that we have collected personal data from anyone under the age of 13 without verification of parental consent, we will take steps to remove that information from our servers immediately.
